HayPal Solar-Powered Auto Feeder
We are excited to announce our new (2025) solar-powered automatic hay feeder. This is a single-serving hay feeder that drops up to 10 pounds of hay into a built-in hay net. Tested in Canada to -20 degrees Celsius, the auto feeder is set to open at the time of your choice. We have been running a 10pm feed every day, with the goal of increasing our horses’ access to hay. We have elderly and insulin-resistant horses at our home facility and this additional feed (with zero labour costs) is proving to be our best product yet!
To operate, open the top of the feeder and load in the hay. When the timer releases the trap door, hay drops into the built-in hay net. Daylight charges the unit, and the battery operates it at the time of your choosing. The auto feeder can also be plugged into an electrical outlet.
